“Royal Oud is a stylish and warm fougere fragrance with a beautiful kaleidoscope of woody, aromatic green and spicy nuances. The note of oud is an integral part of the composition, playing its role in balanced equilibrium with other notes”
Launched in 2011 by Oliver Creed Sixth Generation. Top notes include lemon, pink berry and bergamot. The middle notes consist of cedar, galbanum and angelic root. Base notes are Regal Indian oud, sandalwood and Tonkin musk.
This is definitely a more woody scent than Oud. The Oud in this isn’t your typical stereotypical Oud we’ve gotten accustomed to smelling. It’s very subtle hidden underneath bringing balance to the scent. The subtlety of the oud is more suited to Western noses. It is a great blend of woody and fruity scents that brightens up your day like a lot of Creed’s fragrance.
Royal Oud is pure sophistication in a bottle. This is a mature man’s scent. I man who evokes power and class. Royal Oud takes the genre of the fougere and spices it up, in a good way. This scent is well blended and has an overall focus (a woody spicy progression) and that is what is so great about it! Given the notes, I assume people expect an exotic middle eastern adventure in a bottle and it isn’t. What it is, is a classy scent that rises above the others and will get you noticed or keep your nose happy all throughout a wearing. Full bottle worthy for me
I personally own two bottles of this fragrance. It is a masterpiece, true to the word. A solid 10/10 rating for quality, silage, and longevity. It is a powerhouse fragrance you should own in your collection especially for the cooler months.
