Centered on the idea of natural and simple beauty. La Vie Est Belle launched in the fall of 2012 and developed by perfumers Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion, and Anne Flipo. The bottle is a redesigned version of the classic Lancome bottle from 1949 and of course actress Julia Roberts is the face of the campaign.
It took 5000 versions and 3 years to come to a final design of this fragrance. Composed of fruity flavors of black currant and pear, while the base has almond-like accords of tonka bean, praline, patchouli and vanilla. Iris is the key ingredient of the perfume, surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart.
Like all Lancom fragrances it's a mature women fragrance. So it perfect they chose Julia Roberts for the face of this fragrance, it's fitting for a woman her age. Sillage is pretty overwhelming but not offensive and longevity is superb. Smells powdery on the dry down. The tonka bean, vanilla and patchouli blends really well to bring that comfort feeling. For the women who's tired of the bubble gum teen fragrances out there, this is the classy adult woman scent for you.
