Chanel N°5 L’Eau by Chanel

Chanel N°5 L’Eau ,
the newest flanker by Chanel from the legendary N°5 line. Similar to the Eau Premier however less powdery on the dry down. This is a fragrance that was created for the angels and princesses in mind. I want you to imagine an angel playing a harp sitting on a cloud. That angel is wearing L’Eau.

It took Olivier Polge, the nose behind this L’Eau, 3 years to develop as a light and fresh interpretation of the sophisticated original, featuring prominent note of May rose from Grasse. Top notes: lemon, mandarin, orange, neroli and aldehydes. Heart: rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine. Base: cedar, white musk. At first you’re invigorated with a fresh burst of citrus and orange. Then the floral notes of jasmine and May rose come in, which gives the perfume an elegant feel. Finally it ends with a cottony light musk, cedar, and a kiss of vanilla. It is a beautiful fragrance while it lasts.

The face of the campaign behind this new fragrance is Lily-Rose Depp, yes the daughter of Johnny Depp. While her dad is out there promoting Sauvage for Dior, she’s the Chanel girl at the moment.

Chanel is treating No 5 with the respect of not surrounding it with sub-par “flankers”. Chanel really knows what they’re doing and I think Mademoiselle Coco would approve. This is a fragrance most definitely Marylin Monroe would be proud to wear. It will be easy to dismiss this fragrance at first sniff out of the bottle but I highly encourage you to give it a chance and wait for the dry down because that’s when all the magic starts to happen.

It’s definitely a fragrance that will have mixed reviews as not every woman can pull of Chanel fragrances. But if you’re one of those women that does like Chanel N°5 then you’re in for a treat. It’s definitely aimed at the younger millennial crowd with a hint and node to the classic. If L’Eau was a color, it would most definitely be white. A white soft loose shirt waving fin the air under summer’s morning sun. I guess people will think it’s a summer’s perfume because of it’s EDT composition and less dynamic No.5 but it works so nice in cool weather as well. I’m surprised Chanel has priced this fragrance like their other EDP while being and EDT.

All in all , House of Parfum gives this fragrance a 6/10. If you own this please leave your comments bellow and let us know how you feel.
